Remembering Song

I still remember your voice
soft and warm in my ear
and the song that you sang
ad the words that
just never made
sense
until now
that melodic sweet music
that opens flowers like sunlight
arias
close petals like moonlight
lullabies
and holds me lingering
until the last measure
feeling your music cover me
like rain showers on
blooms
singing your song
in harmony
until I can’t remember
the words
that now make
sense
because I’m too busy
forgetting myself
